Welcome
"Le cœur battant la découverte, je veux dormir je veux mourir la porte ouverte", Jean Ferrat
On pourrait résumer ma vie en une simple citation, « On ne voit bien qu’avec le cœur, l’essentiel est invisible pour les yeux » St-Exupéry. Cette phrase, simple, dénué de lyrisme, est pourtant l'une des plus belles à mes yeux. En tant qu'Homme nous sommes confrontés aux choix, à ce que nous sommes et à ce que nous voulons devenir. Or, comment mieux comprendre l’humain qu’en l’écoutant avec le cœur, en cherchant à passer au-dessus de l’apparence, en voulant découvrir pourquoi ? « Pourquoi », un mot, 8 lettres, et une question sur laquelle je veux fonder ma vie. Pourquoi agissons-nous ainsi ? Pourquoi voulons-nous être comme tout le monde ? Pourquoi considère-t-on la tristesse comme une émotion néfaste ? C’est avec cette même volonté de comprendre les êtres, de les découvrir et de m’enrichir personnellement que j’ai rejoint les Honors.
Who am I ?
Hi, my name is Emilien. This is such a fantastic opportunity, so much so I fear it won’t all fit on a tiny page. Nonetheless, I’ll try my best. I come from a big family of five
children, and I am the fourth. Growing up, we often travelled, and I always loved discovering new places and perspectives. This early exposure to many different cultures has, in turn, influenced how I see the world and the impact I wish to leave on it throughout my life. Furthermore, my family has invited Germans to live with us ever since I was kid. For me, this was normal. Hence, I grew up learning German, as well as English and French: Deshalb have ich jetzt ein gutes Deutschniveau. My discovery of new cultures did not stop there. I left home at 16 to study in Canada, specifically in Montreal. In this context, I was introduced to the Honors program offered at Collégial International Sainte-Anne. Since moving here, I’ve continued to expand my interest in French literature, both modern and ancient. Alongside this interest, I am incredibly interested in music, painting, dancing and all other forms of self-expression. One of my favourite artists, Lana Del Rey, embodies these interests and continues to captivate me with her art
